DESCRIPTION:The Sheriff’s Advisory Foundation has sponsored Sherriff’s Family Day at the Madonna Inn Meadows every year since 1996. This event allows the public to sneak a peek behind the badge and see how the department makes our community a safe place to live and grow. \nThere is something for everyone at Sheriff’s Family Day. Join us for displays and demonstrations from the Sheriff’s Posse\, Search and Rescue\, and the Sheriff’s SWAT vehicle. You can check out the emergency response helicopters and exhibitions featuring the Jaws of Life and Bomb Task Force. Don’t miss your opportunity to shake the paw of a K9 that helps to enforce the law. \nWe have free T-shirts\, hot dogs\, junior sheriff badge stickers\, coloring books\, and a bike raffle for all children up to age 12. Meet Sheriff Ian Parkinson and his famous movie partner Sheriff Woody from\, “Toy Story.” Best of all\, everything is free! \nDon’t miss the chance to meet the men and women sworn to protect and serve San Luis Obispo County. These individuals are your neighbors and friends\, who work tirelessly to make the community safe and secure. Sheriff’s Family Day is always the second Saturday of September from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Madonna Inn Meadows in San Luis Obispo. So mark your calendars!

DESCRIPTION:The Sheriff’s Advisory Foundation Annual Fundraiser strengthens local law enforcement through charitable giving. This event is held at different locations throughout San Luis Obispo County to increase community engagement and spotlight local venues. \nWe are proud to partner with local businesses to source live and silent auction items. Previous attendees have taken home gift certificates\, gift baskets\, regional wine\, jewelry\, handmade blankets\, and hotel stays. Help your local law enforcement agency by joining us at our next fundraiser. Come for amazing food selections and stay for friendly competition. You’ll never know who will take home the next coveted auction item! \nAll proceeds go directly to the Sheriff’s General Fund to help update costly equipment and improve training for onsite response. The growth of our county has outpaced the monetary means necessary to maintain emergency services.
